Quick note: the layout of the store is that you walk in and there is a small room where the lighters, humidors, accessories, and pipe tobacco are. Then there is a walk-through humidor, and in the back there is a small lounge type area with a couch, a couple of chairs, and a TV.
I couldn't believe the audacity of the staff at your
Gaithersburg store today. I came by to get a cutter,
and as I browsed the front area a man came out of the
back and asked how he could help me. I asked for his
cheap cutters and he pointed some out. I said I would
like to browse the humidor then come back out and pay,
and apologized for making him come out.
I entered the humidor and began browsing, when I got
an important phone call. I exited the humidor and was
conversing oh the phone in the front room in the store
when the same person came out to the front area and
asked it I could "do my business outside."
Note that there was no one else in either the humidor
OR the front room at the time, and thus I was
disturbing no one. I had actually exited the humidor
do I wouldn't disturb anyone that might have in to
browse.
I walked right to my car and left. I work downtown
and can get whatever I want at Draper's or JR; I just
like to stop by Davidus because it's close to my home
and I like to keep in touch with whatever events might
be happening and see what cigars you have in, maybe
exchange opinions on this or that cigar.
Needless to day I am more than happy to "take care of
my business" elsewhere if this is the kind of attitude
I get at Davidus.
