As many of you know I recently sold my car but one of my competitors in my class asked me so share the driving in Saturdays MORE ORAF 500.
The course was rougher than I had ever seen it. We had to do 9 55 mile laps
We didn't finish. Bob did 2 and a half then handed it over to me. I finished 3 and a half. Pulled in to the pit for some gas and we found a broken front arm. The only thing holding it together was the through rod. If someone would not have noticed, it could have been real bad.

Here is a photo of me "hauling the mail"

That course was so rough. I probably could have saved my money and had Souldog beat the crap out of me with his billy club.

I would feel the same way :sign:

Thats cool. Looks like fun if you want to eat dust.Where do I sign up? Do they have a class for people over 60?

There are plenty of guys racing this stuff well into their 60's

Beyond,
What is the average speed on a 55m lap? That looks like a hell of a good time.

Dave

The guy that won in our class had a top avg speed of 57.5
He had a real high dollar 1776 vw on 110 octane
My avg speed was 43.9

I had a stock 1776 vw on pump gas and about 1000 pounds on those lighter newer cars

I think I topped out on the flat at about 80 mph

What I question was the guy that won in the unlimited class which is a 3500 lb car with a 600 hp Corvette motor . His avg speed was 57.9
