How long does it take...

I've found that my palette has developed pretty quickly, of course I have been smoking pretty heavily too. I'm always looking to try new singles.

I jumped into buying boxes right away. I started with smaller boxes of highly rated sticks. Many of my favorites are available in 10 count boxes (monte's and cohibas, etc.). That way I can begin the aging process right away. Having a box code helps too so you know the baseline you are starting with.

I have one humidor for loose NCs, one for loose CCs, and a coolidor for boxes.

So far I haven't gotten a box that I haven't enjoyed, but I do a lot of research before my purchase, mostly reading many reviews. Having a couple of good BOTL's to trade with helps too.

Keeping a journal is also great advice.

Searching for aged boxes when you are ready is also an option, but it can be difficult sometimes.

Good luck.
