I have been waiting for three weeks now for a check from someone for a sampler that I had up for sale a while back. Here is a link to the sampler that was for sale. Schenker bought one of them, and the trade was flawless, everything was sent and rec'd in a very timely manner. The other one never ended up selling, and eventually floated off the bottom of the page. Then out of the blue I get a pm from a member here who wants to know if it's still available. This member has been on the site for over a year, with a low post count, and listed several reputable members as references in their profile. I sent the smokes right away, because I'm a trusting kind of guy. Item rec'd May 26. I've been told twice now that he'd get a check out ASAP, and that "I shouldn't have had to ask, I'm really sorry" by this member. Last I've heard from them is June 4. There's always the off chance they are out of town on business and can't log on the site. But it's been three weeks now and several "check is in the mail" promises.

Do I call them out?

In researching this post, I read through this thread again: How long should one have to wait...

Several promises? If you have asked and been promised resolution MORE THAN ONCE and have still not gotten it, I think you are now at a reasonable place to call them out.

3 weeks is too long, out him.

Watch it be you and you'll be like "DOH!"

Tyler Durden made me do it.

Let's start a new poll to see how many heads that Tyler Durden comment flew over! :sign:

LOL. But while I was writing, I thought the same thing...wait a mintue, I didin't forget to pay anybody, did I? but then I figured I would have gottena polite reminder...I feel better now.

Gonz.

I assume this is the same issue that you PMed me about a week or two ago? I have sent the individual an email "urging" him to take care of this right now. I don't know if it will help, but thought I would try. If it does not, do what you need to do and "out" him. You should not have to wait this long for your money...especially with no communication.

Gonz,

Like a few others have already stated, I believe you have been more than patient and willing to work with this guy. Checking to see whether he has been able to log onto Cigar Pass is easy enough - but whether he has or not really isn't the issue anyway (considering three weeks has passed). I think two weeks is ridiculous but three weeks is down right inexcusable. I'm all for working with someone, but it sounds like you're being played. I think this person has bought himself a ticket to be called out. ;)

If he is willing to do this to you, he will do it to others until he is outted.
