2. I guessed the Grand Canyon, cause it has to be moving some direction besides deeper...in that billions of eons geological sense. Niagara Falls is the best quick answer, along with the Susquhanna Hat Company (old comedy bits)
The Niagara River does scour the river bottom, then the parapet collapses. The Ontario side falls off cleaner because of a higher waterflow. The NY side has a pile of rubble. They stopped the American side falls back in the seventies for a while to determine if they could nuke the rubble or otherwise clean it up. Decided it was not feasible because the rubble was holding up the American side.

12. My wife gave me stocking. Hang one by the chimney with care. Ski, ski boot, snowshoe.
