So, last night before I get into chat(mibbit - shhhh), I get online and finally pull the trigger on a Sony 52W series LCD.
It was $2200ish out hte door...cool sale, I saved like $700!
Well, I get into chat(shhh) and were chatting things up when TBagz says he's looking for a TV too.
He's heading out to go stand in line at Best Buy for a 52" Samsung. I try to diswayed him but to no avail.
He's off!
That was around 11pm.
At 12:30am I roll into bead, having had a cup of coffee just a couple hours earlier.
Well, my gears ar turning and I'm telling my sleepy girlfriend all about my NEW TV when I think...I'm up, and that Samsungs a really good deal. I tell her, I'm going to stand in line at Best Buy. She's like, "I'm going to bed!"
I get up, dress warm, grab a drink and food, grab a chair...my lighter...cigars AND my Mr Buddy heater and 20# tank from the garage...and now I'M OFF!
It's 12:45am and I'm heading a couple mile to sit in from of Best Buy to get a TV...even though I just bought one!
I get there before 1am and TENTS are lining the FRONT of the building. Not only that, the line goes almost 1/2 way around the store. I think..do I go home...my car thinks, 'mmmm parking!'
I pull in and get my gear out and have a seat - the last in line!
About 10 minutes go by and more people start showing up. Only about 50 more or so between that time and about 4am.
Where all chatting and keeping warm when the line starts to move.
I grab the heater and throw it in the car(behind it so it can cool off) and a couple grab my chair and move it up.
What the heck...it seem the 'tent people' folded up and the space allowed us to move...ugh.
We wait.
At 4am tickets get handed out...I grab one for the Samsung 52"! YEAH!
Then the 50" comes around - I grab one (a gift for mom)...then the PS3 (MINE) and a Garmin 260w(for Tonie).
Crap...that's a bit of ching!
Just before 5am Tonie arrives ith some coffee and to help me in the store.
At 5am the doors open and they filter in 10-15 folks at a time. We wait for a couple shifts and we're in!
I send her off to look for a couple small things...but thye are already out.
We get to a sales counter, grab the gear and we're off!
One problem...the 52" LCD fits in the Magnum...and the PS# and Gramin...but I have to go back for the 50" plasma!
We get the stuff home...I get my mothers mini-van and head back to BB to get the plasma.
When I arrive to pick it up, the kid says to hang on.
He grabs the 50" AND another 52" and says ok.
LMAO...I'm like...uh uhuh uh....NO, I already have the 52"...he looks at the ticket and like...'These are yours.'
I repeat to him...No. I already picked up the 52" and had to come back!
He say, "Oh!"
We load it up and I'm off.
What a long strange trip!
The 52" is now set up and looking good!
I can't wait to hook up the PS3 and see some blu-ray stuff!
