And when they make a drug OTC, they think it's going to be cheaper, I have taken Prilosec for 7 years, and they made it OTC, some 14 day thing, if you take Prilosec, you generally cannot stop taking it, it's not a cure, it's like insulin, you have to take it every day forever. I paid 30 dollars for a 90 day supply, and when the insurance company quit paying for it because it was OTC, it would have cost me in the range of over $180 for the same supply, I couldn't afford it, so it was priced out of my range. Now I have to change medicines just to keep getting my prescriptions for a reasonable amount, if I didn't have insurance, I'd be broke and probably dead by now.
