I've tried to put in my own avatar several times and it just never works, I always get an error message. Can anyone help me with this avatar thing and maybe with posting other pictures?

Right clicking and pasting a location doesn't do it?
Click on your username at the top of any page.
Down at the bottom of the next page says "Avatar Options". Click on that.
The next page gives you the opportunity to enter the URL of a picture. Pick anyone from the internet and find out what the URL is. Copy and paste it where it says "Enter a URL to an online avatar image".
Then click on "Update Avatar" button.
I think the hard thing for you will be finding the URL of a picture you like. Do not worry about the size. The forum resizes it for you.

You first need to have an online photo managing site.... try this one.... www.photobucket.com
Upload whatever pic you want to use...... copy and paste the "URL" link and that should do it....

atuck you need to read the signature rules "Da' Rulz..."
8. Signatures may contain images, but may not be any larger than 300x100; 468x60 banners are also permitted (within reason). If your signature is larger than the allotted size given or deemed unacceptable by staff, you will be requested by a moderator to resize or change your image. Please also try and keep text signatures under 5 lines. Failing to comply with a moderator's request will result in the removal of your signature.
