I got carried away

And bought the Johnnie Walker Blue 1.75 in the gift leather box.. I was in a rush and passed a duty free that had the 750's for 130, but I ended up in a duty free that only had the 1.75 for 320. That's still a full 100 less than my local store.. So I still feel like I got a good deal, but I don't think I needed quite as much.

Now here's the kicker, can I actually store the bottle in the leather case? It doesn't really stand up longways at all, so wont' the cork get bunged up?

Good news is that I'm going to crack it tonight and take a few drinks. I have quite a few in there, so no crying over spilled milk now..

God, I can't believe I dropped 300 bucks on a bottle.

well the cork appears to not be natural cork and instead will probably survive laying on its side. Pouring a dram from the beast of a bottle is a bit tricky, however. A couple of drops ended up on the floor and on my shirt. I felt horrible.
