Your link to Arnold's didn't work... and your nuts for giving up that Nano
My wife got me the 4 gig model for our anniversary, great little player, but unless you have a Mac or other Apple PC, the iTunes software is not very PC friendly. Doesn't take advantage of the 2nd mouse button, and won't let you use the Nano as a separate drive.
The latest version of Winamp's (and it's free!!!) software is much better written for use on a PC, much more PC intuitive, IMO! Although it seems Apple is trying to fix their software, as I've gotten 3-4 upgrade notices since I got the thing in May.
