We actually got lucky. The strong winds off the lake held much of the snow off until later than it was expected. It didn't start until about 10pm or so. I guess we've gotten about 16" of snow so far and it's dying down quite a bit. No mail today as there's a 5 foot drift in front of the mailbox that I haven't cleared yet. He won't deliver if he can't reach the box or get down the driveway and I'm not snowblowing until the wind dies down.
All in all not as bad as they predicted and it could have been much worse. A lot of people are without power, but we've been fine.
