I think I'm in trouble!

I just can't go more than three hours without smoking a cigar! I just started this past week and I'm hooked bad. My wife hates it, so I have to go outside or in the garage that my son took over for working on his 4 wheeler and he doesn't want me to smoke in there. What am I to do? I've been banished to the great out doors. :-( Anybody got an extra room I could stay in? :-) I bought 20 factory throw outs and I love them. Don't know what I'll do when I get into the really good cigars. Help me please! jk Finding a lot of good info here. Thanks for the good forum.

I'd smoke in the house and get the wife a set of wrenches to help with the four wheeler project in the garage.
 
Haha Josh, that's hilarious!

My only advice is this: If you love the inexpensive cigars, don't try the pricey ones. Its better to not know.

Tell your son that when he buys the garage from you, he can tell you where to smoke! Or at least that's what I'd say. Enjoy the ride.

Ditto on that. Welcome to this hobby. Its all down hill from here. BTW, is there a local shop that allows you to smoke in? Most of them seem to be friendly places to hangout.
 
I started smoking cigars about a year and a half ago, and one piece of advice that I wish I would have heeded is to stick to buying singles or fivers. Your tastes are going to change as you try more and more smokes. I did pretty good for a while, but then I'd find a stick I really liked, and would buy a box. Unfortunately my tastes kept changing, and I'd be embarrassed to tell you how many boxes I have that I really just do not care for anymore.

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking that would be the way to build up my stock. I've been smoking the heck out of these cheap cigars. They aren't lasting long. The only problem I have is when I buy a good one, I want to smoke it right then. :-) Saw the plans for the coolidor and I think I'm gonna give it a try. Gonna try and find some smaller smokes for every day use since I don't have a lot of time to smoke the big ones. So new, so much to learn. Thanks for the tip.
 
Cigars...it's a slippery downhill slope that there is no escape from if you are a devotee of the leaf. Good luck. Smart move going straight to the cooledor. More space and more economical. Good advice on starting with sampler packs...this way you can truly learn what your tastes are, but it looks like you are already off to a good start. A good cigar does not have to be expensive...you just have to like it. Oh...and tell your son to get his own garage...it's your house...he just lives in it.
