IBM still has the fastest supercomputer

Correct the IBM Chip-Set is the Fastest!... Mac's have used the IBM Chip-Set till next year 2007 and even then going to go to a Intel Chip... But IBM in this case ISN'T a PC based system either... this is all related to the Chipset only..
Can you tell I'm a Mac user?.. I have been working with Computers and Network systems for near 20 Years now, and still have a PC here, and need to support them. For PERSONAL use, I do prefer the MacOS, and with OSX (FreeBSD) I really like it's Framework. I had ran Linux before getting any of the Mac's here..

For the average person, not having to deal with spyware, viruses, lousy UI, etc., Macs are great. I've been programming for about 20 years, and love the nice UI on top of a Unix layer.

Computers are just tools, and the OS is becoming less and less important IMHO, primarily because of the Internet and open standards. Use whatever suits you best.

I use XP pro to game and SuSE 10 (thanks to novell for sending me a free cd every year) for the internet.

Not a big Mac fan, but I don't hate them, they are just not my thing.

Of course being an MCSA working on my MCSE I dont have alot of the problems the "Joe Six Pack" users do. I still find Windows annoying though.

UNIX is the way to go baby...
There is no better operating system for accessing, monitoring and testing network/internet hardware.

i have been contemplating building a UNIX/LINIX box for a few years now...as much as i hate Microshaft, they are setting the bar for the sheep. Looking at a Mac mini right now to play with, especially since i am a photoshop user.
