Iceland...Has anyone been there?

I'm considering a trip to Iceland in August and was wondering if anyone has been there. My limited research indicates there is plenty to do for a week and a lot of the things appear to be hiking and outdoor related activities, which I can embrace. If anyone has been I would be interested in what activities you enjoyed the most and those which were, perhaps, not worth doing.

Cool! I hear the hot springs are fantastic. I admire them for being the only country to throw the bankers in jail for the 2008 fraud. Told the Bank of Ireland they were defaulting, too. Spunky!

I was there long enough to take a nap when we moved. We'd like to go back. My co-workers have been I can ask around.
