Idea for a PIF? Need some opinions

I read a post where someone sent a bomb to a person on the condition they review and guess what a certain mystery stick was. Brother almost nailed it on the head.

I didn't see any passes going on, so I wanted to get involved in a PIF. Just needed some advice. I was thinking of a pass where I threw in 5 or 6 decent sticks and one "mystery" stick. The reciever of the bomb needs to burn it and see if they can "name that stick"!!!! :thumbs:

If the bombee can name the stick, the pass stops and they get to keep the bomb. If the bombee cannot name the stick, he then add a mystery stick, or adds a stick and takes the band off one in the bomb and sends it off. Cycle repeats....

Here are few items:

1. The contents of the bomb need to be kept secret as the they could be upgraded to the "mystery" stick.

2. If we are now waiting on someone to smoke and guess the stick, this would be a slower PIF. Do the cigars take a beating? Or would they be better off as they would have a day or two in someones humi?

3. The mystery stick could be listed in the first post and running tab on the sticks and guesses could be kept.

Well FOGs and others, let me know what you think. Maybe this has been done already. I personally would be stumped on this one, but I thought it would be cool to test some of the veterans out there and see what you are made of :D

Great idea! I would be in, but I am so freakin new to the world of cigars, I wouldn't have enough experience to guess :blush:

You brought up a good point about it taking time to smoke the mystery stick before passing. Maybe after you send the pass with the mystery stick, the person takes one or two + mystery (or however you set the rules). He then replaces what he takes and adds his mystery stick to the next person. This way the pass keeps a pretty good clip and no wear to the cigars, but gives everyone a chance at their own time to review the mystery stick and place the review on the forums?

Just random thoughts throwing out there! :D

It may be done sooner than later!! I am not considering this a pass, as more of a bomb/Pass it forward type dealio. There are some strong opinions on a new guy (me) starting out a pass. Dude in the Simple Pass was crucified for it. I'm looking foward to doing a pass, but not right now.

Like I said, it would be a bomb you could randomly send to people. Although, if someone more seasoned wants to use this as a pass, go for it.

It's like a mix of the Mystery Pass and the Hot Potato bomb! If you did a regular pass along with this then maybe it wouldn't be over so quickly. If you don't like this idea maybe you should just bomb some guys at random and make them bomb each other... oh wait, that's my idea! :p
 
Cool idea, what if the pass stayed with newbies and if a newbie guesses the stick, they bomb the FOG that has helped them get a start here with the pass. Kind of a thank you for helping us get started.
 
As a pass just keep passing it even if the person guesses right. Maybe a second chance in the game if you guess it right.

Or as general mayhem, if its bombs you want juat pick 5 or 6 people and send them 1 stick unbanded with the
good faith it be reviewed and guessed upon then passed forward to the person of their choosing.
With some of the stuff dropping out of the sky around here I'm sure there would be no end to something like this.
