There seems to be an increase in situations where somebody is waiting for the other guys end of a trade, well past appropriate time, with no communication as to why. There's one going on in the PIF pass, and what's really amazing is the guy being questioned was on the other end of a similar situation just the other day (he wasn't complaining, just involved).

If you buy something from me, I expect prompt payment, or a note saying that you couldn't make it to the Post Office and when you will try again. I could care less what the reason is, just let me know when I should expect you to mail it.

The same goes for me, If I don't get your package out on the day I receive your money or the day after depending on timing, I owe you a note to say so and tell you when I will do it.

It's that simple. Nobody wants to hear a story, follow through on what you say you will do, or tell me you didn't and when you will.

It's called commitment Matt.

Don't commit if you don't know how to keep up your side of the agreement.

Well said. I have been late with zero excuses, but I did PM the other party and it was taken care of. So communication is critical.

Nothing is more aggravating than having to wait around to find out what the hell is going on (except finding out your screwed and you ain't gettin shit).

Not for nothing, but this same member is holding up two passes right now.

It's really very simple;

- Say what you're going to do.
- Say when you're going to do it.
- Do what you said you're going to do, when you said you'd do it.
- If you can't meet the deadline, communicate early and often.
- Follow through and verify it got done.

I know from first hand experience that sometimes life throws itself in front of good intentions. A short delay is nothing a PM or a phone call won't address. Operative word being "short".

Hang in there, Matt - B.B.S.
