I've posted two notices already, however I want to make sure everyone is aware... PM's will be deleted within the next couple of weeks. I highly advise you back them up now if you want to keep them. The new forum software will be installed very soon, and in order to install it I need to drop the PM table in the database, otherwise the conversion process will take days.

Thanks for the heads up Rod, I keep forgetting. I'll do it right now. I'm looking forward to the upgrades! :)

Jeez! I hope I never have to actually get info out of those archives. What a mess!

:(

how does one back's up pm's? tia

GO to PM's and on the left it says ARCHIVE.

That was my first impression, then I saved them in HTML....much better

Hey guys, thank you so much for the tips, it made it very easy for me to keep some important info I had on there. I know what you mean Sonuvabum! I'm glad gentlemen like you are around to help newbs like me.

Rod,

How long does it take to receive the e-mail with the attachment? I did it yesterday and I still haven't gotten them yet.

Thanks.

Mine was in my email inbox literally 30 seconds later. I used the HTML option...not sure if that matters or not. Maybe try again.

The Excel option was near instantaneous for me yesterday.
Uh oh...maybe they are being blocked by AOL? I just did the HTML version and nothing came through either.

I assume you've checked your bulk/spam folders? I also assume you haven't changed your email address since registering--really, who is switching to AOL these days?

I hear you there Steve

I've had this same e-mail addy since Al Gore invented the Internet

I'll try my gmail addy that I hardly use and see if that works.

Thanks
