Hey all, in need of some help here.

Everytime I try and run chat I get this:

Illegal Operation in Plug-in
————————-
The Plug-in performed an illegal operation. You are strongly advised to restart Navigator.

I run Firefox, and it's the same for any streaming video or flash required pages.

Here's what I've done:

- uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and updated it
- uninstalled and reinstalled Flash and updated it
- uninstalled and reinstalled Internet Explorer (cause it does it there to)
- updated and ran McAfee (nothing)

Basically, I can't get any streams to work, to include CP Chat. I have tried all I know to fix it.

Anyone out there who has any secret info that can help a brotha out?

Thanks for any info you may have.

have you restarted your computer? give that a shot, has worked for me in the past. and also try to get back to your last restore point, say last month, that may work as well. good luck wyatt,
Rob

edit for more info

Ok, UPDATE:

I can now run chat in Internet Explorer ok, but I still have the same issues with Fire Fox.

Done on the uninstall and reinstalls. If it was so specific to that, you'd think and uninstall/reinstall would do it.

Hmmm

simple answer.

firefox had compatibility issues with flash.

you need to be running flash 8.0+ and firefox 1.5+ in order for it to work best. If at all.

Yeah, that's what's got me befuddled. Runnin' the newest of both, still doesn't work out.

Thanks for that forum though, good info and things to try in there. I'll be trouble shootin from that.
