Chicago has been anti-smoking in most places for a couple of years now. Matter of fact, most of the larger cities in Illinois have had or recently passed no smoking ordinances. The state ban is much more strict in where you can or cannot smoke. I haven't read the actual signed bill, but assume it is the same as the one that was sent to the governor's desk a couple of months ago. It even bans smoking in private clubs and work vehicles.
