I was going to do a review on the Illusion mk, but while smoking it I was very unimpressed until some taste finally kicked in atth very end. The ash was a dark ash, and the taste was a consistent - well, I can't even describe it. The burn was ok, had to fix once. Just not a cigar I'll buy. Didn't do much for me.

Nothing like kingantz experience. maybe a bad stick...?

Anyone else's .02 cents on this stick???

If you have another, give it a try. What RH were these stored at. I think they come around a bit on the dry side.
If after that, you still do not care for them, ship them to me, I will try one out and make sure they are OK.

These are a favorite of mine.I have found however that to fully enjoy the smoke & get maximum taste from it you need to exhale the smoke thru your nose.I think that is 1 that I sent you with the Opus,if it is it was stored at around %67 humidity & should have been good to go when you recieved it.It could have just been a dud.I would suggest trying another 1 in the future, they are great smokes IMO.However, it could be that they just don't fit your tastes.

Hey John -

Thanks for the stick. Like I said, I enjoyed the last third...as far as exhaling through the nose, I kill myself everytime I try it! haven't quite conquered that skill yet, though I'm trying! That was the only one of those that I have and since yesterday or today looks like the last days of outdoor smoking here due to inclimate weather, I was so hoping that I was going to enjoy it as much as everyone else seems to. Maybe I'll pick one up and let it sit through the winter and try it again...it was at 65% since you sent it to me, what a couple weeks...?

Thanks again!!! It is appreciated!

EDIT: I still have a cg4 and the HL... I'll see if theres anydifference there as well. I REALLY want to like these. :)

They are one of my favourites... I did a review recently too.

Some cigars smoke better at a higher RH, but it has been my personal experience that these do fine at 65%. Maybe you did get a bland one?

Certainly it cannot be said that these are a mild cigar. The mk is rich and delightful usually.

Hey, send any remaining mks over if you don't like them. :D

I torched one which was stored at 65% rh yesterday for the commute home and it was really nice. One touch up required. Would definitely, without a doubt, buy again.

Yeah - I'm thinking I got jipped! Oh well it happens. And it was gifted to me so I only had the one. Hopefully my next one I come across is much better!

Thanks!
