John Lennon would have been 70 today.

John seemed a decent chap and it's shame he had to die violently. One of my best friends was a fantastic musician and songwriter who also died of gunshot wounds but while protecting his wife from a scumsuckin burglar. I've always wondered how many great songs that we've been deprived.

You know someone had so much influence on so many people when Google dedicates their main page to them...

Kind of a neat tribute though.
