My driving has been unreliable and pathetic. I want to be able to drive the ball almost 200 yards and straight, every time up. Right now, I hit a booming 250+ yard drive one out of 15. It feels great, but I need something I can count on. Within 100 yards of the green, I feel comfortable, but my drives are making me play more of the hole than I would like to.

Golfers, fill me in!

Get a new driver. ;)

The "blame it on the club" theory is the best. ;)

LOL@Beast..it's thinking like that that keeps my brother in business (he's a pro).

Seriously...use a 3 or 4 wood or a 2 iron. If all you want to do is hit it 200 yds and straight, then use less club. No law that says you have to use a driver off the tee. Another option is get a more lofted driver, 11-12 degrees for example. Of course, you could just go get some lessons. :)

Yes, I have some contacts and am seriously considering it. I figure I can get a package deal for half a dozen lessons and actually improve. I hit balls whenever I want and play almost twice a week when time allows.

I actually hit my 6-iron for a while off the tee because I wanted something consistent. Steady play wins most games in golf.

pm sent ;) I know a certain lover of the leaf that lives by you...happens to be a golf instructor.
