As many of you already know, I recently found out that my wife is pregnant. Now what I'm hearing is that the doctors think there is more then one. Everything is very early in the process, but not too early to start thinking about what box I would like to purchase.

Some things to consider.....

I'm looking to get a box of premium smokes that I will hang onto for special occasions for years to come. More then likely I will buy another box for the purpose of handing out in celebration. These will be reserved for close friends that really enjoy cigars, not the ones that will light it up and put it out 20 minutes later. I have no idea at all if I will have a boy or a girl, but maybe some years from now I will be able to pull one of these out and share with them. Anyways, you get the idea.

So far the cigar at the top of my list is the Padron 1926 40th Anniversary, Natural. These have been my absolute favorite cigar so far. From start to finish, I haven't found anything I like better. Well, to be honest, the Padron Millenium I smoked was better, but I don't see an entire box of those babies in my near future. So with that, I'm up to suggestion.

I'm a big fan of the full bodied smoke, but at the same time I like something that isn't excessively overpowering. I also see consistancy as an important factor. That's one thing I like about the Padrons so much, nice and smooth from start to finish. If I was to pick up a box of Island smokes, perhaps I could get something with some age on them. Maybe a significant date code.

Well, thanks for taking the time to read and help me out here, I'm still pretty partial to some 40ths, but maybe we can come up with some good alternatives.

Looks like you have your answer. You really like them, and they are high end, celebratory smokes. As far as something to pass out to smokers, when my son was born almost two years ago, I picked up a box of Romeo And Julieta It's a Boy's. Kept one locked away in the box for him when he can appreciate it. I think they may also make "It's Twins" but I'm not positive. Great smoke, very nice presentation. Glass tube, cedar wrap. Not "premium" but definitely enjoyed by those who appreciate a good smoke.

Edit: By the way, congrats!

I'm fairly sure that the 40ths are the same blend as the normal 1926 serie just in a torpedo shape. Makes it easier to find a box.

get a cab of ISOM's with the same year and month code as when your's is born, then you all can smoke one a yearfor 25 years.

Damn Ray...You just made me realize something.....

I need to make a post just like this for a bottle of scotch as well

If not ISOM....then a nice Davidoff 100th box! But, that's what I like!!

Congrat's and happy hunting!
