Wow... National Guard sponsored car crashed on the last turn of the last lap while leading. At the NASCAR race, the National Guard car ran out of gas on the last lap... while leading.
National Guard-sponsored cars came within one combined mile of winning the two biggest American races on Memorial Day weekend. Indy was almost won by an American rookie, and would have been "America's return to the bricks". The NASCAR race was almost won by America's sweetheart, Dale Jr. You just can't make this stuff up.
