Install CigarPass App Instructions (Apple and Android)

Although we don’t have a dedicated app in the App Store, our forum platform includes a built-in app feature. Enabling it offers a smoother CigarPass experience with benefits like alerts, notifications, easier navigation, and simpler image posting. Try it out—you’ll likely find it more convenient than accessing the community through a mobile browser.

To activate the CigarPass web-app:

1. Open Safari/Browser on your mobile device.
2. Visit the CigarPass forum at https://www.cigarpass.com/community.
3. Tap the Share icon (a box with an up arrow) at the bottom of the screen.
4. In the pop-up window, tap the icon with three dots (...).
5. Select "Add to Home Screen" to add the web-app to your device.

You have now activated the CigarPass app on your phone.

If it is merely a shortcut on the home screen, I've done that for years. But I don't see anything on Android that appears to be an app.

When I created the shortcut, it gave me the option of installing the app.

It shouldn't be a shortcut, rather a "web app". With this, you'll also get push notifications. It's pretty cool and makes posting much easier. Let me know if you have any questions.
