I've got a nice fiver worth about 40 bucks (all good sticks including a WOAM, Illusione -2-, etc) that says the Buffalo Bulls will beat the UConn Huskies on Saturday. No point spread, just winner take all. I'll put my sticks up against the first reply poster with a Connecticut address. How about it, Huskies fans?

(By the way...that's the Buffalo BULLS, not the Buffalo Bills :whistling: )

Good luck to you too! It's hard for me to get a feel for this game as I'm not much of a college football follower to begin with. UB has been in the dumper for so many years that this year has like a gift for them. Their story about having to turn down their one and only previous bowl invite back in 1958 is compelling.

Anyway...thanks for taking the challenge and let's hope it's a good game all around. :thumbs:
 
Well, it was an entertaining game with Buffalo taking advantage early of UConn turnovers and keeping it close until the 4th quarter...but in the end the better football team won. Congrats to UConn!

Your cigars will be packed and in the mail on Monday. Enjoy...and thanks again for taking the bet!

Doc,

I don’t follow any sport religiously but I do try and keep an open for what all of the New England teams are doing in general. I would love to have heard Edsal during half time, he probably made the special teams players wear Buffalo tee-shirts because they helped score all of Buffalo’s twenty points. I also think both teams are on the rise and have programs worth watching in the furture. They both have good coaches that know how to recruit and the kids listen to them and respect them.

Although UCONN played embarrassingly the first half, they made up for it in the second half.

You can just send 8 cigars and I will call it even now. :D The national championship game should be a good one. I don't know who will win, but the over should be a good bet.
