I'm digging mine, don't use the Ipod part of it yet, but will when i get the right case / clip. What improvements would you like to see?

Mine: video and camera adjustments; ability to attach multiple items to email; using ringtones other than what's on the phone already; GPS; those are just a few that come to mind...

Glad you are enjoying the phone Frank.

I would have had this phone by now but for one reason...cell coverage. AT&T do not have as good a coverage as Verizon. Even with Verizon, there's a problem getting and receiving emails when you are on an extended network. Sure, if you only move around main centers then you will never have (???) a signal problem. I tend to gravitate to "out of the way" places, especially when I'm traveling.

Other phones that do more for less.

Will give credit where credit is due, their marketing department is phenomenal. ;)

I love mine. I've had no problems so far (knock on wood). My only complaint is that its very hard to dial or text without looking because of the non tactile keyboard. But my coverage is great, I only use the internet if im at hotspot of some wifi zone, but i never really have a need t use it on the road. Google maps is great, trying to find places while on the go.

you don't have a Sat phone? I've thought about getting one for fishing trips offshore, but right now i hear Globalstars network is terrible (why it's so cheap) and Iridium is expensive. Prolly get an Iridium soon...

I have satellite internet (Motosat) on the rig. I hardly have cell phone signal problems with Verizon. As mentioned, out of the way places shift onto "extended network". I also carry a "pay as you go" Cingular/AT&T which comes in handy when Verizon has no signal.

I can tell you've never used one, Kenny. :)

The key to the iPhone isn't feature bullet points, it is how they put it all together. It's actually a useable phone, which is something I can't say for any of the other smart phone/PDA phones I've used before.

What don't I like? Lack of high speed data access primarily. GPS I agree would also be a welcome addition, and a "to do" list of some kind.

You're right, I haven't used one before but, that doesn't make my statement any less true and I stand by it........ there are "other phones that do more for less".

My beef with the iphone has nothing to do with its ability to be a phone. Its more of what its not. For the price it should have the ability to do everything a PPC/Smartphone/PDA does plus a few things that they can't. Of course if you are only buying it for a phone......... :whistling: LOL

Third party apps is when the real fun begins. ;)

"Having the same or more features" is not the same as "doing more". Give one a hands-on try when you're near a store, you'll see what I mean.
