We used to have Opie and Anthony for the drive home 3pm to 7pm. They were thrown off the air for a contest they ran.....Sex for Sam (Adams) Contestants would get points for having sex in different public locations. And there was the "2pt conversion"........well one couple got the 2pt Conversion in ST. Patricks Cathedral!!!! That's just not right!!

Those of us who live on the east coast are probably a little more familiar with Stearn than the rest of you. He used to do a show on DC 101 in the late 70's and early 80's. The station fired him once or twice for outrageous conduct, but re-hired him, at least until Air Florida Flight 90 hit the 14th street bridge and went into the Potomac River. After the air disaster, Stearn, while on the air, called the Air Florida ticket counter at (Reagan) National Airport and asked, "how much do you charge for a ticket to the fourteenth street bridge." Stearn then went to work for NBC in New York and had the number 1 rated morning show. Despite his ratings, he was fired again and went into syndication with Westwood 1. He has the number 1 rated radio show in the country, is on television every night and is the biggest piece of sh.. crap that ever walked the earth!

I went to school in Chicago from '85 to '88, but I don't think Mancow was there at the time. The only morning show I remember in Chi' town back then had Walter Mondale's daughter on it. As I recall, she wasn't bad looking, but she was cursed with the Mondale bags under the eyes. It seems to me that I remember that Howard Stern got fired from WNBC in New York because there was a horrible blizzard where they were pretty much evacuating NYC and he called one of the NBC exec's at his house and said "If you're home why am I still here?" Or something like that.
He wasn't on the air the next day or ever again on WNBC

There's a good chance I spend to much time on the road, just catching the celebs here and there on TV, and not remembering 'em. Like Howard Stern, etc.
Anway, this time of year, I am home plenty, with lots of screw-off time to surf the net and the tube.
Mancow, I've seen on Fox. But quite frankly he annoys me, as he gets in the way of the quality time in viewing the women. Like E.D., Juliet, Lauren, and I forget the skinny brunette's name. We call her "skinny legs and all", like that old song. Who sang that anyway, was it Wilson Pickett?
Well, at least I know who Ben Affleck and JLo are. Is anyone else as sick of them as I am? :angry:
