ok, gonna check out a calibration site. I got a new LCD and it might just need adjusting but everything else looks good.

Make sure the cable is plugged in securely to both your monitor and PC. If it's loose, it'll cause distortion.

Done, gonna go get a DVI cable today instead of calibrating it to this old analog VGA cable.
