Is this the only way to calibrate a built in hygrometer?

I will be purchasing a humidor with a built n hygrometer that I can only assume does not have the ability to be removed. So, is the best way to simply throw in a calibrated hygrometer and note the difference between the two?

Most of the built in hygrometers will pop out, so you can calibrate them using the salt test, or whatever manner you choose.

Most of them are horribly inaccurate and can only be used for decoration, too. :)

Doing what you say will probably get you in the ballpark, though. Calibrate a nice digital if you really want to know. Or buy some beads and don't worry about it at all.

What ^^^^^ he said! Only for decor! Just get yourself a cheap digital from walmart for $7 and keep it inside for accuracy.
