idk if this is something you might be interested in, but! the Apple iPhone is being sold as refurbished in many At&t stores and online (if you can catch it). Unlocking the iPhone takes about 5 minutes now and only involves downloading an application (http://download.ziphone.org/). Running the app, click the Jailbreak, Activate and unlock. Then walk away and come back when completed. I bought one last week and have been using it on T-Mobile since. Very slick.
