xbox 360. (not the core unit). i know, i know. arent we all. i just thought id try. ive asked for the impossible before and someone on here always amazes me and comes through.

ill throw in some very nice cigars as a bounty. ;)
 
Dude' I fought all night to get disapointed. I did manage to get one this morning from toyrus.com(amazon). I had to buy a $1000 bundle to do it and yes I did end up with a core unit. It came with 10 games. The only real difference is the hard drive and the wireless controller. I bought a wireless controller yesterday and I have the hard drive coming from another source. They are saying that more units will be shipped from Microsoft one more time before Christmas. Good Luck and sorry I couldn't be more help!
 
i think its just what smokey said. the core unit doesnt come with as many bells and whistles as the regular one.
 
what exactly are you looking for? X360 is at Walmart. They were on the shelves released this morning. Price was $497 CA. There was a lineup there, this morning, and 16 units sold immediately. Im not sure how many units were shipped, but can find out. PM me if you need to.

If you're willing to get raped, you can buy 'em all day on eBay. But - be aware - $1K for the units is pretty much the going rate from what I've seen on the computer discussion boards.....ouch.

Yeah BBS is right, The going rate on ebay is $1000 for the premium system. 2.5 times the MSRP!

Wait a few months IMHO unless you can get one at cost. I will wait the standard 6 months for this system to see what bugs it may be laden with and also how aggressive the rival systems price themselves and what games are offered as well.
 
We sold our allotment, and have been told that more will be coming before Christmas. Also, have been told that much more will be available after the first of the year.

Yeah, I've got an Xbox and I want a new one too, but it AIN'T worth standing in line for 14 hours for. ;)

I have a feeling there will be a lot of "IOUs" from parents to kids this year. If you really want one you are honestly better off waiting 2-3 months - they should be readily available then. Good luck in your quest none the less....
 
Has anyone heard of all the problems they have been having? I've heard a lot of complaints about their X360s overheating and crashing. There's no way I'm paying $1000 for a first run X360 that will just overheat and crash.
