Once you understand what "plume" is, it's extremely easy to tell the difference. I don't know why supposedly experienced people often REFUSE to see what's right in front of them.

I can also say that in the years I've enjoyed premium cigars, I have NEVER seen a situation where someone asked "...is this plume, or mold..." where it was plume. Never. Not once. Period. Nada.

Anejo's seem to like to wrapper mold more than any other cigar I've ever seen. Wet cigars, cedar tube...bad combo. A tiny amount of wrapper mold is repairable. A gentle wipe with the colloidal silver humidifier water followed by two or three days out of the box and out of the humidor stops the problem in it's tracks, every time I've had to do so.

But if you get fur on the foot of the cigar....they're trash.
