The Godfather of snow boarding died yesterday. Although I’m a two planker not a knuckle dragged I had a tremendous amount of respect for the man. I hope you find that hidden stash of freshy in your afterlife.

Was actually 2 days ago. The fact that my Instagram feed had nothing but homage after homage to him, despite what sponsors and circles the riders are in says it all. He was a legend, that even through the Burton hate that had become trendy in some circles, became obvious how many lives he had touched. It was pretty cool watching basically all of the best riders, again despite sponsorship, putting up pics of all their old Burton boards and gear. Pretty much all of them spent their formative years on Burton's to at least some extent.

Every snowboarder in the world owes there enjoyment of the sport, equipment, and community largely to him and his advancements.
