John Elway, after living a full life, died. When he got to heaven, God was
showing him around. They came to a modest little house with a faded Broncos
flag in the window. "This house is yours for eternity, John," said God.
"This is very special; not everyone gets a house up here." John felt
special, indeed, and walked up to his house. On his way up the porch, he
noticed another house just around the corner. It was a 3-story mansion with
a Green & White & Silver sidewalk, a 50 foot tall flagpole with an enormous
EAGLES logo flag, and in every window, an Eagles emblem. John looked at God
and said "God, I'm not trying to be ungrateful, but I have a question. I
was an all-pro QB, I won 2 Super Bowls, and I even went to the Hall of
Fame." God said "So what's your point John?" "Well, why does Donovan McNabb
get a better house than me?" God chuckled, and said "John, that's not
Donovan's house, it's mine."

GO EAGLES !

:D  :p

I'll bet a blind 5 straight up, no points, that Atlanta beats them.

AVB, I'll take that bet

EDIT: First off, I'm a Falcons fan. They're my second favorite team behind the Colts, and I really hope they beat the Eagles. But I'll put a blind 5 on the favorites.

I'm from Buffalo (and a die hard Bills fan), I just happen to live near York. If location had anything to do with it I'd be a Ravens fan since they are only 44 miles away. ;)

Craig, I'll take your bet. I'll give you 3 points :p

LOL-Great joke!, I'll be sure and send that one around to our coaching staff. On a side note-I met John Elway once. He was at a celebrity golf tournament in Reno Nevada and he stood outside with fans chatting and signing autographs. He was very personable and we talked about his playing days at BYU. I was curious as to why a devoted catholic would attend Mormon U., but he stated that he liked Utah and that he knew BYU was pass happy and played a more "pro" type of game offensively. Of course, that was back when BYU actually had a team as opposed to more recent years. :p

Since stogieman didn't jump up and take the bet it looks like I'll take you on Eric. You got a bet. Since there can't be a tie in this game one of us has to win. :D

Ahemmm.... John Elway went to Stanford. I'll have to call BullSh$T here!

Everybody knows Elway played for the Yankees anyway. Where do you folks get your info?

Before his phenomenal pro football career, Elway was actually an All-American in baseball at Stanford and also played baseball for the New York Yankees' Oneonta (New York) single-A farm club in 1982. :p

I'll get you something out most likely on Tuesday. The roads here still s*ck and I won't make the PO on Monday.

Hey man, take your time. I thought after the first half that the Falcons had a chance, but they got shut down in the second half.

Oh well, maybe next year...
