Well this was an entertaining trial for sure. Honestly glad Depp got the verdict he did. But too bad his pirates of the Caribbean acting is over. He definitely made that franchise what it is

So was the result of just him being in a trial of this kind enough for the movie company/producer to say they don’t want him back?

Actors and actresses are about as amoral as any group of people on earth. Who knows who smacked who, who stole who's drugs, who cheated on who, who had more cosmetic surgery. IMHO Those people aren't worth the bother to know the truth.

The thing is, he could have been a great actor. I see him as a modern Brando (without the body of work to back it up) . A promising start but he decided to just flake off. I liked the first Pirates but then it became predictable and just going through the motions and The Lone Ranger was just unwatchable. The occasional part of the trial I watched I thought he was doing a bad Orson Welles impersonation.
