Yeah, I've never been a scotch drinker, but last night on a whim picked up a bottle of Jon, Mark, and Robbo's Malt Scotch Whisky (The rich Spicy One). I'd never heard of them but at $30 per bottle was worth a shot. Plus the sales staff who is usually very knowledgeable, glowed about it. Really, I enjoyed it. I won't be pretentious as a newb and post a review, but I'm curious if this stuff is popular by any stretch. If this was my into to Scotch, I'll go further based on this bottle.

They are slowly making a name for themselves but are far better known in the UK. Like many independent bottlers the source of their whisky isn't known.

I had a bottle of that whisky about a year ago, and for the price it isn't too bad. I liked it quite a bit for the first few drinks, but after about 1/3 of the bottle (not all at once, mind you) I found it to be a little too cloying for my taste and didn't really enjoy the rest of the bottle all that much.
