For the life of me I cant find a listing of the retail locations JR operates. I need specifically the address for the one in DC. I will be there on the 31st and would like to stop by on limited holiday hours...

Also check out this link for some more DC cigar places if you're curious (no idea how up to date this list is though): Phonebook Page of Cigar Places in DC.

If you happen to be around during the afternoon and want to catch a beer, burger, and mini-herf - drop me a PM. I live maybe a 15-20 minute walk away from there. I am out in the boondocks that night (new year's celebration), but in town during the afternoon.

Oddly enough - I've never even been to this place (didn't even know about it until Lumberg pointed it out in a PM) as I do most shopping online or at the one other place I walk into in DC.

Cheers,

Hey Ludwig same goes here as far as getting together. I get out early (noon) on the 31st and I work about 6 blocks away from JR..and I have to pass w/in a block to catch the metro home.

I think I will work out after work, so something like 2 pm would work for me. Otherwise I could take time off.

LMK buddy, I'd love to put a fact to a name!

Nope no chairs you have to stand around.

Drapers which is like 7-8 blocks away (also close to my work) has two chairs which are normaly in use.

PM sent

Hey, if ya'll are meeting there PM me. That's real close to the observatory! I'll love to meet up.

Note also that it is 1730 L Street NW, not NE. Big difference.

Thanks.

I dont know DC at all :). From Dupont Circle what would the directions be??? :)

Quick directions: Get off at southern exit of the dupont circle metro. Walk down conencticut avenue heading south-east. Turn right when you get to H street, go to 1730.

Longer directions: Here are more detailed directions if you're easily lost - not the absolute quickest, but you won't get lost. Get off at the dupont circle metro - at the south exit, which puts you on the southern side of the circle on 19th street. When you get off the southern side metro escalator, walk straight ahead onto 19th street (going south, away from the circle). You'll pass a movie theater and Ben and Jerry's in about 30-40 feet. If not, then stop and ask directions - you screwed up... ;)

Keep walking south for about 6 blocks until you get to H street. Cross to the far side of the traffic light, then turn left onto H street. Walk straight down H (east) for slightly less than 2 blocks until you see JR's on your right.

That's it. Will take you around 15 minutes max either way.

You can also take a $5 cab ride from dupont instead if you're lazy or error-prone :D.

Guys-

Farrugut North is the closest Metro Stop. It is literally 2 blocks around the corner from there. That's Red Line. For Orange/Blue Lines, Farragut West. Only one block more.

I walk there every day.

Ludwig, you have my digits. Call me.

Also, within 1 block of Drapers (another cigar store) - there is a cigar-bar called Shellys (at 1331 F Street). From JR's to Drapers in about another 15 minute walk, then 2-3 minutes to Shelly's.

I've never parked around there before (that's right, I've never been to either cigar shop - or anything else around Dupont Circle.) Well, once I pulled over and ran into Starbucks for some coffee while my wife waited in the car. But, anyway - will it be very difficult to park near JR's?

YES.

This is right near K st. There are all kinds of taxis, delivery vans, shoppers, tourists, businesspeople, etc.

So what's the deal? I haven't heard from anyone except blair. And he says he might not be able to do noon per se but a little later.

hrmm. Seemed to have missed you Lumberg. I ended up making it into Arlington at around 2ish, and was all geared up to head to JR at 2.30/3.00 but I guess everyone must have been busy then?
