Angry Fish
Well it started Saturday with me having to leave work early to come home and help my wife because my daughter had a fever and was throwing up all day. By the time I got home around 7pm she was doing better. Sunday morning we took here to the pediatrician because she still had a fever and they said she probably had a stomach virus. She didn't though up all day Sunday and Monday I went to work and my wife stayed home with her but she still had a fever. when I got home around 4pm I was holding here and I noticed she seemed really hot so we took her temp and it was 102.6 which was up from a hour earlier when it was 101.2 and she had been given Tylenol at the same time so I new something was wrong because the Tylenol should have been working by now so we called the doctor and he said to bring here to a place that was open late to get her looked at. The pediatrician there looked here over and found noting else wrong except she noticed that the soft spot on here head was swollen which she said is a sign of a possible infection of the membrane the surround the brain and spinal cord. My heart dropped and I almost lost it right there if not for the fact that I needed to put up a front for my wife to help keep her from totally losing it. So they started the blood and urine work there and then I ambulance ride to the hospital for a spinal tap. By the time they did the spinal tap it was 12am and we found out at 2am that she did have an infection so she will be in the hospital for at least 48 hours. they said it looks like it is viral which is good but they treating with antibiotics just to be safe since they won't know for sure till the cultures come back which takes 48 hours. So the room as one reclining chair and one normal chair that was so uncomfortable. So it made for a long night and not much sleep. So I and my wife decided to take turns spending the night and she is taking tonight. So that was my last 24 plus hours not fun and I am mentally and physically exhausted. I can use your thoughts and prays that it all works out well thank you.
