Just saw a Gatorade commercial

And the main competitor of Gatorade, was water. And they were actually trying to come across saying water isn't good for you, drink gatorade instead.

Unbelievable.
 
How true, how true. If you need to replace vitamins and minerals go out for a steak dinner after the triathlon. :thumbs:

On the side of Gatoraid, it does help replenish the lost electrlites which do have an effect on the heart, water can't do that. Both do help with the loss of fluid from heat or sweating and to be honest, if you know you will be working up a good sweat then you should start to replace your fluids the night before.

My kids are heavily into gymnastics ,water is good but they like the Gatorade. They say it not only quenches the thirst but it also gives them a little boost from the sugar that is in it. Plus they also like the different flavors.

Are you just supposed to eat the dry powder?
 
Gatorade is a quick fix. A good diet and lots of water prepare you for you for activity. Gatorade is good stuff..just not for daily intake.

I do landscaping for a living and everyday I bring 2 bottles of gatorade with me and a 3 gallon jug of water.

The night before I start jacking up on fluids via Labatts Blue Light and/or Jack Daniels. :laugh:
