just showing off my media room

Me thinks it's time for a CP road trip to TX. Marc, you can leave the keys to your house under the mat if you won't be home. I'll bring my own DVDs (please leave your humidor unlocked). :p

Hmmm...

Marc, wassup? Are you pulling our leg with this one? Your profile states TX, but the theater web site states:

"The moment you cross the threshold, you leave the contemporary architecture of a Northwest home, and find yourself standing on the Death Star, with an automatic door to both your left and right." There's also a reference to a "Seattle neighborhood" on the site. ;)

Regardless, it is a nice set up...

no, no, sorry avb (and whomever else). i use the term "mine" pretty loosly. i guess i should pay more attention to my dialouge. im the architect of the home. and we as architects get pretty possesive when it comes to cool designs (although i had very little to do with the actual design of the fabrications of the inside media room).

and yes it is in seattle. but apperantly they do stuff all over the country. they told me they were working on a media room here in dallas that was a "20,000 leagues under the sea" theme. the owners of the "star wars" home are in the publishing buisiness of mostly sci-fi magazines. the fabrication of the media room alone was over 200k, not including any of the equipment.

i can afford to bring home the bacon, but not quite the death star.

I'd kill for those chairs. What projector are you using? I'm running an Electrohome 8501 fed by a Key Digital HD-Leeza onto a 106" 16:9 screen. HDTV is shown native (1080i or 720p) and DVD's are line quadrupled to 960P.

GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!

This is what I understood from the above quote:

"I'd kill for those chairs. What projector are you using? I am running an BLAH BLAH fed by a BLAH BALH BLAH-BLAH onto a BLAH" BLAH screen. HDTV is shown BLAH (BLAH or BLAH) and DVD's are line BLAH to BLAH"

All you need to understand is HDTV on a 106" screen. Think about it.
