I love a creamy, naturally sweet cigar. I have done many searches and I want to try some Victor Sinclairs. I have one question...
Would you recommend the Connecticut or the Vintage Selects?
Can you describe each one?

I have the exact same statement/question for Indian Tabac
Limited Reserve vs Super Fuerte

Thanks

I have had a few VS cigars and did not care for them.

However, I love RP cigars though the Limited reserve are not to my liking. Vintage, Cameroon Legend, Super Fuerte and Edge are all goo.

DK try the RP connnecticuts, they are mellow, and a hint of sweet. I have smoked a few of these and have nothing bad to say about them. You can find them pretty cheap on Cbid!

I was going to but they are a little too expensive for me right now and I don't care for cbid.

I don't know much about the others but the Vintage selects were pretty good IMO. They use to be my go to daily smokes. Cheap (about 2 a pop) and aging does help with this one. Hints of chocolate and nuts with a decent sweet maduro taste to it. I would take a sancho panza DM over it though for the price but still a nice stick.

I tried a Sancho Panza La Mancha Double Maduro and didn't think it was very creamy or sweet. Seemed more spicey to me. I have only tried one though...

Indian Tabac is a decent cigar. Not spectacular by any stretch, but certainly servicable. Tastes vary, of course, but the general consensus is that Victor Sinclair isn't worth the time.

The description of all 3 series of Victor Sinclaires that are carried at CI sounds so good to me, just what I am looking for in a cigar. Hmm, I guess if no one likes them here I will resist on buying a box until I can find some samples.

Probably a wise choice - buying a box of cigars with a questionable reb when you've never tasted one may not be the best idea. And hey, just realized you're from my neck of the woods. I'm about 15 miles south of you.

Years ago...and by that I mean at least 12 years or so ago, I had a few Victor Sinclairs. Back in the boom era really. They weren't bad then, but I'd say it was more of a mild cigar back then. Then they disappeared. Came back a few years ago (at least to my knowledge). Reblended at first, tried it again and didn't care for it all. Also had some strange line they put out with...if memory serves correct...either a red band or a blueish band (kind of similar to what Oliva was doing at the time with their red vs. blue cloth bands). I think they were called Bohemian's or something. That was at least about 5 maybe 6 years ago. Tried those, didn't much care for them. Then they brought back the "classic" which I think was not quite the original blend, but close to it. Anyway, I tried it and it didn't do it for me (not that it ever did).

As for IT's...those have been discussed on here previously and pretty recently in fact. You'll be better off going for some Padrons, Puros Indios, Saint Luis Reys or even Connie's before springing for some IT's. IMHO anyway. If you're set on the Rocky Patel creations, go for his Edge or Olde World blends instead. Or, if you're into the IT or VS type of sticks, Rockey's Sun Grown might be for you.

Also wanted to add...if you like creaminess and sweetness, some of the Nat Shermans will be right up y our alley.

Also, in terms of "creaminess," one of the best ones out there is the Zino Mouton Cadet.

I like Padrons but they are a little too much for me right now. IT is the most I can do, that is why I was intruiged by their description. I got some connies coming but those are more of a spicy cigar, correct, I have never tried them before. Never tried PI before, what are their characteristics? The Shermans sound good, I may try those next. I also want to try the RP Connecticut really bad but they are way too pricey right now.

Seems to me that all the creamy cigars have a connecticut wrapper, correct? I may have just found my favorite wrapper :)

Cigars International used to run a promo where you buy a box of RP Connecticut and you got a 20-count sampler (essentially 40 sticks for the price of a box). Keep your eyes open to see if that promo comes around again. You can end up having those sticks at less than $2 a pop.

You might also consider 5 Vegas Gold, a cigar with characteristics I find VERY similar to the RP Connecticut and one that might be in your price range.
