barbeque beef ribs, lobster in the shell grilled, corn on the cob, can't forget the skirt steaks, and plenty of potato salad, garden salad, cucumber salad, tomatillo salsa, assorted cakes and pies, pecan pie is my fav, moosehead beer enough for 30 or so moms and dads, kids and grandkids and assorted friends. plus my brothers and friends will hit my humi's. GOD BLESS AMERICA, and my pocket book, lol! :p

Just the two of us this Labor Day but Sirloin on the grill along with salads from our garden, tomato, potato, green, cucumber, some home made salsa (with 2 different hot peppers we grew) and some chips should be enough. Rolling Rock on ice 'cause the wife likes it.

Chicken breasts stuffed with feta and spinach, greek salad, fresh squash and red onion sautee......maybe a bottle of wine.

Grew some romas, beefmasters, squash and cucumber this year. Love fresh veggies.. :D

Barney said he was grilling steaks....but he's banned.

New York Strips, potatoes, and asparagus all on the grill.

Got some Negro Modelo and Red Stripe to go with and a 1926 #1 maddie with my name on it!

Happy Labor Day everyone! :D

Ribs, burgers, hotdogs, a turkey, and all the sides and salads that go along with them. And a couple cases of beer and I am thinking a Rocky Patel 1992 :D

Just got home from grilling Hamburgers (350), Hotdogs (250) and Brats (200) on the grill for 300+ employees. There will be nothing on my grill, we are going out to eat!

OK, I'm hungry now! I'm going to go find the biggest fattest steak I can find and throw it on the BBQ. I'll let the Ol' Lady figure out the sides. Cigars will definetly be on the menu while I am cooking and after I eat. I'll go pick through the humi before I go to the store. :D

Making kabobs for the first time. I've grilled steaks, chicken, burgers, hot dogs, and brats too much lately so we needed a change. :D

Oh, and I'll be having two DCM's while cooking.

Had the family over yesterday, so today...Sir Loin and Jersey corn on the cob, Grey Goose martini(s) and "Prelude to A Quiche" appetizers.
Trying to get this over and done with before my 17 year old son's friends decend on us (usually around dinner time... that's perfectly allright, as long as it doesn't interfere with my STEAK consumption!)
Finish off with a VR Famosa or BBF or RASS and a Jack Daniel's, as that's all my extended family left me with with!
Happy feakin' holiday to all!!! :)

Simple fare around the BBS household..got some ribeyes for the grill, Corona's on ice, and some locally grown corn on the cob, salad, etc.

My 18 year old and a good buddy of his have developed the habit of showing up, oh, about cocktail and gar time. Not that I mind.... :p

KB - Kabobs rock. My faves are chicken, pineapple, some sweet onion, some steak cut into chunks, some mild green peppers, repeat as required....

And - a very happy holiday weekend to you all - !!

Best Regards - B.B.S.

The wife is making chicken with ginger and scallion in the wok with Basmati rice on the side. I'll be grilling asparagus and peppers marinated in italian dressing.

Shredded pork shoulder for BBQ sandwiches, 4 halved chickens, 2 racks beef ribs, 5# pasta salad, polska kielbasa, hotdogs, haburgers, bacon wrapped shrimp & pineapple kabobs.

Some sweet sauces to go with it too. I made three different sauces from sweet and sassy for the kids, to "holy sh*t wheres the beer that was freakin hot" spicy. and just a regular midle sauce.

Enjoy the day off...Cause I know I am!

No grill - my apartment complex won't let us have them. :( But, we did go over to Cigardawg's on Saturday where he grilled up some pork, chicken, brisket, and brats. I miss grilling...

Well, I get to live vicariously through you guys today. I will probably be working into the evening; hopefully I will be done by midnight. The saving grace is that we swung by the store and I grabbed a couple beers. It makes the evening go by a little better.

I hope you all have a rocking and festive holiday!!!

Cheers,
- C
