It’s New OLD Pipe Day! This first pipe came from an eBay seller in Canada. It’s a Savinelli collaboration with the designer Etienne Aigner. I haven’t found much on it but my research says it’s most likely from the ‘70s.
This pipe spoke to me because my Mother loved Aigner SWAG. She rocked purses, wallets, key chains, scarves, even a raincoat! She passed on February 12, 2024 at 95, less than two weeks after I started smoking a pipe. This pipe is unsmoked, and will see its first fire on the anniversary of her passing.
These two pipes are unsmoked 50+ year old Dr. Grabows. The yellow is a Viscount and the blue is a Duke. Paid $9 a piece for them at antique shop in Lakeville, CT. The old guy who ran the place somehow l remembered that I bought a couple pipes from him last year and he threw in the leather tobacco pouch. It still has some flakes in it and a beautiful smell! Wonder what was in it and when it last held tobacco.
