By not jumping into a pissing match with her you really did the right thing, if you argue with an idiot they will just bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Not smoking but, another brow beating lecturer :
Two years ago when I had my Mustang I had an off -road pipe on it and one chamber flowmaster mufflers. It was loud as all shizz. I pulled into a gas station and the guy at the pump across from me in a 1980's Members Only jacket and driving this little econo-crapbox started going off about it being "noise pollution" and polluting the air.
I said very politely "Look, its my car and my right to do what I want with it you don't pay for it"
Dude went berserk babbling about I was too young to question rights to him.
I stuck my hand in my pocket and asked how he felt about Second Amendment rights, dude just turned red and speed off.
Yeah I could of got in deep crap but F'em !
