Hey fella's, my lead foot is having problems with photo tickets. I'm looking for suggestions on purchasing a license plate cover. Here in PHX we have red light cameras and photo radar. Can anybody suggest a cover for me and where to buy online?

I have a good friend who works in "photo compliance" for the Illinois Tollway system. He's told me all of that doesn't matter.

Bottom line - forget about covers, sprays, voodoo magic, charms, etc., etc., etc. It's all snake oil...

Best thing to do Ryan - replace the lead foot with a marshmallow one...

I can't speak for anywhere else, but I know where I live, those covers give the cops an excuse to stop ya if you fart the wrong way.

I would suspect that would be the case. And of course, as an officer of the court and a member of multiple state Bars, I would neeeeeever encourage such activities. :whistling:

Illinois allows clear covers - nothing else. I suppose some of the covers, and certainly the spray, are legal (as long as they don't blot out the characters on the plate). Colors, frosted or any other plate cover is illegal - and as Newfie puts it - a reason for an officer to stop you (as petty as it seems, it is a reason and they do - and it always seems it's right when you don't want them to stop you). I think that's pretty universal...

Are you kidding? I just got this..

Im having a hard time keeping even close! :whistling:

Thanks! I have to get he car wet sanded as the factory paint is so orange peeled up. But I like the color, and chevy is doing it for free so hopefully it will clean up nice.

I opened it up a little when I went to California the other day, but pretty well covered so you need to pay attention to your speed.

You can wind first gear to over 50 pretty easy, so by the time your in 6th you can be going pretty quick!

Congrats!
My father in law has the 50th Ann. He keeps it garaged mostly, still has less than 1k miles on it and he bought it when it was released. On rare occassions, I get to take it out and always love it when I do.

Police magnet! If you drive, they will stop YOU for speeding before they stop the speeding soccor mom! ;)

nice ride there mdman! plenty of back roads in yuma to take that vet out on.

cc, i try to obey the speed limit, but my foot is full of lead. so heavy to keep from hitting the floor. :p

Well, if you don't want to listen to me then there's always the hard way. Thousands of dollars spent on speeding tickets and the associated inflated insurance insurance premiums may make you see the light at some point.

Your choice......

This is my 3rd vette.. I like em for lots of other reasons than the quickness.. this model is keyless start and lots of intuitive options more than I can mention here.. I think C6 handles a lot better than the C5 ever did

Congrats to you sister on the new baby!
Yes, do that! come on down anytime!
I look foward to seeing you!
