Lighter Problem

I recently purchased a vector lighter. Not sure the version. Whenever I use it, it takes 3-4 clicks before it starts working. Sometimes it may take more than that. I am not sure the reason for this, anyone know what can be wrong? I am new to all this...Thanks.

Click it gently, on the slow. See if you have the flame too hard, blowing itself out, or too weak.

Was going to say something similar. Don't just rapid fire click it until you see a flame. Usually one smooth and controlled press will do for me. Something I noticed with my clear tank Blazer, is that once the fuel runs down some and the lighter is laid on its side, the tube that the fuel runs through may not be submerged in the butane anymore and the next light takes a second click. When that tube is always covered when the tank is full, even when the lighter is one its side, the next light is never a problem. As Monk also stated, makes sure the flame height is not on max which may be blowing itself out. Good luck!

If it is not on high, it will not light. It will just make the sound of butane, then it cuts out very quickly. Could there be air in there? I am also using Ronson Butane, not sure if that could be creating this problem?
