Lighter Recommendation

Whats a good lighter for cigars? Can't light a $10 cigar with a $.99 lighter can we? Looking for something classier.
But you can light them with a $2.99 Ronson. My Ronsons have outperformed 3 colibri, 1 xikar, and 1 blazer lighter.

 That's the move right there. Besides having had tons of problems with the thing lighting, I now have to send my Blazer out to be repaired after having it for less than 9 months and it's never been dinged, banged or dropped. Damn thing just broke! The $3 Ronson I got from surfishdave is the shiznit! My only complaint is the fluid capacity but I never had a single problem and it lights every time!

I have both the Blazer PB-207 and Little Buddy...I have to say that of the two I like the PB-207 better. Don't get me wrong, both are great and I love the flip cap on the Little Buddy as well as the easy to use flame adjuster at the bottom, but I hate the safety lever on the thumb switch. While the Blazer are great, the look of them is more industrial than refined. If you are looking for something more refined, I would go with an ST Dupont Maxijet. You could probably get almost 3 Blazers for the price, but it is another lighter that never fails. Well...at least not for me.

When Rod had the group buy on the PB-207, I got one.
It was to be a gift to my Brother-in-law.
When I saw the safety lever, I mentioned it here on the CP and someone said it could be removed without harming the lighter.

Thanks KiltLad...I will check out the linky. Much appreciated.

It is really easy to cut off the safety lever and not harm the lighter. I did it a couple days after I got mine.

It ain't pretty but it always works.

Okay so i have been looking for a lighter to and decided to buy a zippo. Dont know if its going to work for cigars but going to give it a try...let me know if what you think...

Ditch the insert for one of the butane zippo z-plus inserts so you don't taste the fluid used in that style of insert. I think the insert can be had for under $20

That particular label on the Zippo fuel is the new "low odor". I finally found it here locally and gave it a try on some cigars. Pretty good for when you want a soft flame.
Can't say I will use it as my go to lighter, but a friend gave me a cool Ed Hardy designed Zippo, so at least I can use it now. I still use my "little buddy", my z-plus insert Zippo, GOF lighter, or my Alec Bradley tabletop. what can I say, I love playing with fire
