like that he's using euro-style .'s for the phone number too.
I hadn't even noticed that. Hey Frank, any particular reason you used .'s instead of -'s?

Dave
Lot's of reasons AND no particular reason.

Basically, 1. like Moki said "they look cool". 2. I used an Avant-garde typestyle and the dots are more complimentary, 3. with the close proximity of your website address (which, of course, utilizes dots) I felt dots in the phone number would provide a smoother flow for the reader's eye.

I again want to thank Moki, lbrief, and Moki's friend for picking up the ball on this one. I don't think I dropped the ball, but couldn't donate as much time as was needed to come up with multiple logos. I think a FANTASTIC job has been done here. Praise is well deserved by the three of you.

FWIW:

I like the logo used in #2, but think the best ad is #3 or #1

The use of .'s is the current thing (actully for the last 6-8 years). The newest, but ridiculus use of .'s is in slogans like: This. Is. A. Slogan. or Big. A$$. Trucks. Please don't do this :p In phone numbers = good; to make incorrect grammar = bad.

I also agree with Dave that his current domain is a LOT easier to remember than XYZcomputer.com, no...XWFcomputers.com, no....DXWelectronics.com, no...WDFdesktops.com, no...etc.

Cheers,
Dixie

Ok, so what would you all think about a contest for the best logo?
Don't start designing yet, it's just a thought....

Dave ;)
So what did they WIN Dave. I'm so excited.

Let's please put an end to all this nonsense and flaming. Our board-wide rules are very clear...
