I really liked this as my first single malt. I was wondering if anyone here could point me in the direction that would lead me to a single malt that is very similar in flavor to this one. I think it was the "Double Wood" aspect that really appealed to me.
 
If it fits in your budget then the Balvenie SherryOak is very good also. About $90 around here. The Glenmorangie Lasanta is very similar but with even more sherry influence IMO. It runs about $60.
 
It is very concentrated as its a cask strength SMSW and 100% sherry oak aged. I think its a love/hate type of whisky. I absolutely love it and prefer it neat with a cigar.....yummm
